REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) welcomed former president Susilo Bambang Yudhyono (SBY) in the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Friday (Oct 27). SBY arrived at the Presidential Palace at around 2 pm.
Until this news is released, it was unknown what Jokowi and SBY discussed about. They were seen talking in veranda, the central courtyard of the Presidential Palace.
SBY who is Indonesia's sixth president appeared with brown long-sleeved batik shirt. Meanwhile, President Jokowi wore a white shirt wrapped in a black suit.
This was a second time in this year Jokowi meet with SBY at Merdeka Palace. The first occasion was on March 9.
According to Jokowi, at that time SBY asked him to maintain political tradition of the previous administration to the current administration.
In addition, SBY asked for the next government to preserve the culture to continue the development managed by the previous government.
On Thursday (Oct 26) morning, SBY used his personal Twitter account to comment on the newly Mass Organizations (Ormas) law which was passed into law from a Lieu of Law (Perppu) No. 2/2017.
He stated, revision on Ormas law should be done immediately.
