REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Jakarta Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat was not ready to open Ancol Beach for freel. He previously requested the operator of Taman Impian Jaya Ancol amusement park, PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol to make free access to the beach for residents.
He said the operator still reviewing and then formulating the system to be used if that offers are applied. Nevertheless, Djarot ordered that the free entry policy to Ancol Beach should be tested. Especially, to all receiver of Jakarta Smart Card (KJP).
"We are not ready to make free entrance to Ancol Beach because the system must be made first," Djarot said on Thursday (October 12).
According to him, the first target of this policy was for poor society. Djarot assessed that was a reason for testing free entry to Ancol Beach for people who received KJP.
He also asked PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol to cooperate with Bank DKI, in order to implement that policy. Djarot also said the review and preparation of the system should be done immidiately.
However, Djarot realized free entry policy to Ancol could not apply throughly. Previously, he wanted this policy kicked off effectively on October 14.
"Yes if everyone is free to enter Ancol Beach, the impact is there will be a lot of people coming there. It will be just like sea of people," he added.
