REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Head of Indonesian Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (PPATK), Kiagus Ahmad Badaruddin, said the institution will trace terrorism network transactions affiliated with ISIS, under fake dawah institutions.
"Not all dawah institutions (affiliated with terrorism network). Densus will be very careful to investigate. It could happen," Kiagus said in Jakarta, Wednesday.
In addition to dawah institutions, nonprofit organizations can also involved in terrorism networks, he added. Kiagus warned every organization to carefully accept the flow of funds.
"Do not accept donation for dawah institution before examining it. It needs cooperation from BNPT, BIN, and Densus," he explained.
PPATK and the National Counterterrorism Board (BNPT) searched for ISIS-affiliated terrorist network funding map. Kiagus acknowledged that the process will not be easy, because many funds come from legal activities.
"The funds come in small amount, but gathered in one bank account. The owner of the account can be identified through police and BNPT's report," Kiagus said.
