REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesia-Qatar Business Council President Hendra Hartono has said he would make a business trip to Qatar next November in his bid to explore trade and investment opportunity in the oil-rich country.
"We will a business trip to Qatar in early November for a business matching that will be divided into five clusters of business," he remarked at a press conference here on Thursday.
Hendra explained that the five clusters of business are food and drink; non food and beverages including garment and electronics industries; construction and building materials; Services; as well as investment projects.
For the the investment projects, he said the some provincial government officials will also be invite to join the trip so that they can deliver projects that require outside investment.
He said the business trip will be conducted in conjunction with the celebration of Indonesian independence day in Qatar.
"Because we are entrepreneurs, the trip will be used for business matching," he said.
Hendra noted that although Qatar is a small country, the standard of business there is very high and in par with that in the United States.
In addition to high standards, some products are also subject to high entry rates, and so from the industry side.
According to him, the direct business trip for business matching to Qatar is done because the Middle Eastern businessmen tend to prefer face-to-face meeting to do business deal.
