REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Spokesperson of Jakarta Metro Police Argo Yuwono has confirmed President Joko Widodo's son was reported to the police for alleged blasphemy and hate speech spread through Youtube video. The report made not with Kaesang's full name. 

"Yes, it was Kaesang Pangarep. The video that Kaesang made was on Youtube," Argo said at Jakarta Metro Police headquarters on Wednesday (July 5).

Argo explained the report will be processed. "We will investigate whether it has criminal element," he remarked.

A citizen named Muhammad Hidayat S made a police report against Kaesang to the Bekasi Metro Police on Tuesday (July 4). He submitted a Youtube video titled "Papa Minta Proyek" (Asking Project to Dad) as evidence.

Bekasi Metro Police chief Hero Bachtiar stated the police will conduct further deepening and clarification on the case. "We must clarify first," he said.

Hero said the police still coordinating with the parties related to the report, among others the cyber team and Ministry of Information and Communication. 

In his report, Muhammad Hidayat S said Kaesang has spread hate speech and blaspheme in the video by saying a group of people as "Ndeso" (Hicky).
