Spokesperson of Jakarta Metro Police Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono says the investigator keep on processing the alleged steamy conversation between Habib Rizieq Shihab and Firza Husein.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The legal team of the suspect of steamy conversation Habib Muhammad Rizieq Shihab had sent a letter to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and the National Police Chief Tito Karnavian to issue a warrant for case dismissal to stop the case. But, police asserted to neglect the request.

"We keep processing. There is the regulation of Criminal Code, including warrant for case dismissal, included into it. We continue to process the case,” said the Spokesperson of Jakarta Metro Police Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono at his office on Thursday (June 22).

He argued that the request was not right as there was certain requirement for investigator to stop a case. The investigation could not be intervened.

Argo ensured that the police neglected the request. Police would keep focusing on the investigation. Recently the investigators were concentrated to complete the file of Rizieq's case while waiting for the FPI leader to go back from Saudi Arabia.

Previously, Rizieq's lawyer Eggi Sudjana admitted to send a letter to Jokowi and Tito. The letter contained a submission of case cessation. “So President could give his instruction to National Police Chief to stop the case,” said Eggi.
