REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Minister Asman Abnur held a discussion with Home Affairs Minister Tjahjo Kumolo, here on Wednesday, to expedite the implementation of an e-government system.
"We have discussed ways to speed up (the implementation of) the e-government system related to the management of performance. (The meeting focused on) how to accelerate it at the regional level, as some regional heads still do not have a good score in the accountability report of the performance of government agencies," Abnur stated.
By accelerating the implementation of the e-government system, the management of regional governments would hopefully improve, and consequently, bureaucratic reforms in all fields will soon be realized, he remarked.
Apart from discussing the accountability report of the performance of government agencies, the two ministers also discussed the supervision mechanism to fill leadership posts.
According to the rule, the filling of leadership posts at the provincial and district levels must be reported to the State Civil Apparatus Commission.
At the meeting, the two ministries tried to synchronize the rule.
According to the presidential instruction, the Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Ministry and the Home Affairs Ministry continue to build good governance at both the central and regional government levels.
He said President Joko Widodo is keen to expedite bureaucratic reforms in all fields that will eventually strengthen regional autonomy.
Also present at the meeting were several officials of the two ministries.
