REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The video of Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok’s speech in Seribu Islands on September 27, 2016, quoting al-Maidah verse 51, was played during the 17th trial of blasphemy case on Tuesday (April 4). The Trial Coordinator of National Movement to Safeguard MUI’s Fatwa (GNPF MUI) Nasrulloh Nasution said the defendant confirmed his statement during the trial.

Nasrulloh said Ahok’s statement for quoting the words that he assumed as an insult to Al Maidah verse 51 was valid evidence.
