REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Jakarta police officer will investigate comedian Ernest Prakasa related to his comment on Twitter, which alleged insult international cleric, Zakir Naik and Vice President Jusuf Kalla.
"We'll see, we'll check investigate (the case)," the Jakarta Police spokesman, Prabowo Argo Yuwono said to Republika.co.id today.
Argo added, if the police found violation of the ITE Law on Ernest's tweet, his office will take action like Buni Yani's case. Buni Yani was also charged with ITE law. "Yes, we'll see how the legal facts (it is the same with the Buni Yani's case)," he said.
Previously, Ernest was considered defamatory because he said Zakir Naik has funded ISIS. He also allegedly insult Vice President Jusuf Kalla after met Zakir on Saturday (March 4) evening.
"JK welcomed Zakir Naik, person that gave money for ISIS. I can't understand," Ernest wrote on his Twitter account @ernestprakasa.
