REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- PT KAI Commuter Jabodetabek (KCJ) has tested tools for persons with disabilities in the form of portable ramp for wheelchairs users who wanted to enter the commuterline train (KRL).

Vice President of Communications of the PT KCJ, Eva Chairunisa in a press statement received here on Saturday said the tools include flexible-to-remove aluminium board. This board will be used to help commuter line train passengers in wheelchair to enter and out from KRL.

Prototype for the device has been tested and will be produced to use in a number of train stations. PT KCJ targeted the tool will be available 74 railway stations on May.

"KRL users with disabilities who need portable ramp will be assisted by officers at the station," Eva said.

Eva said the facility is a continuation of services for disabled passengers. KCJ previously has set up tiles for disables in 35 KRL stations.
