REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- West Java Police Chief, Inspector General Anton Charliyan, said he has reopened the case of ‘campur racun’ which ensnare Habib Rizieq Shihab. In fact, the case has been terminated or on-SP3.

Anton said, there were reports due to the alleged insult case of Sundanese culture. Habib Rizieq once switched Sundanese word ‘sampurasun’ (refine yourself) to be ‘campur racun’ (mixed poison). "The ‘campur racun’ case was ever been stopped, but now it is resumed," said Anton at the Police Staff College (PTIK), South Jakarta, Wednesday.

On Wednesday morning, Anton said, there was a report came from the Sundanese Coalition with its member came from various sorts of elements of the community. The coalition carried out a hearing process with the West Java Police to review the jokes made by Habib Rizieq. It deemed to have been injured Sundanese people. "His saying hurts the Sundanese people," said Anton.

The Former Head of Public Relations of the National Police explained that sampurasun was a regard used by the Sundanese people. It is a pride and has been the ingrained hallmark. Therefore, Anton said, when such characteristics became joke material in a speech held in 2015 in Puwarakarta, it made Sundanese people hurt. "So please if you go there for the second time, do not to hurt the Sundanese people. Sampurasun is the pride and the characteristic of the Sundanese people," he said.
