REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesia will continue to support the Palestinian efforts for independence, Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Marsudi stated. "Indonesia will continue its commitment to supporting the Palestinian independence. We won't backtrack from it," Marsudi announced here, Tuesday, during an Annual Press Statement 2017.

Indonesia also fully supports the UN Security Council Resolution 2334 that condemns Israel's illegal settlements in Palestinian territories.

Despite several challenges, Indonesia will gather international support to achieve the two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Marsudi remarked. "Indonesia will continue to gather support from the international community to achieve the two-state solution," the minister said.

Indonesia will support the international conference initiated by the French government to mediate in the conflict between Palestine and Israel.
