Jokowi sings educational songs with children in Pidie Jaya

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – President Joko Widodo took time to revisit the earthquake victims in Pidie jaya, Aceh, before turning back to Jakarta after a visit in Iran, Thursday (12/15). The president, accompanied by the First Lady Iriana, greeted the children in the al Istiqomah evacuation post, Meureudu, Trienggadeng, Pidie Jaya.

At the camp, the President and the First Lady sang along with dozens of boys of the earthquake victims. They sang educational songs which teach the spirit of learning. “Children, please be studious, always take a prayer and keep the spirit. Ok?” said Jokowi.

The President and the First Lady also greeted the mothers and children under five who were taking a rest in the camps. He said he wanted to make sure that all the needs of the refugees are met. During the visit, the President also donated some books and cash money.

Accompanied the President, there were the Minister of Social Affairs Khofifah Indar Parawansa, Minister of Public Works Affairs Basuki Hadimuljono, State Secretary Pratikno and Coordinating Minister of Human Development and Cultural Affairs Puan Maharani.
