REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, CIKAMPEK -- State-owned toll road operator PT Jasa Marga Tbk has predicted peak of homecoming Eid-Al Adha 1437 Hijri will occur on Friday (9/9). That day is in conjunction with days off.

Public Relation of PT Jasa Marga Jakarta-Cikampek branch, Iwan Abrianto, in Bekasi said, the majority of people going to in their hometown before the Eid-al Adha celebration on Monday (12/9).

"The Eid al-Adha falls on a Monday, so there will be long holiday, three days off from September 10 to 12," he said.

Iwan said the number of toll road traffic at holiday predicted to reach 100,716 units routed at Cikampek from Cikarang Utama toll gate.

This vehicles will increase by 14 percent compared to traffic on normal days of about 88,347 vehicles.

''The vehicles coming from Jakarta and surrounding areas to the East," he said.

Jasa Marga has mapped out a number of points of traffic congestion at several locations, namely at interchanges Cikunir, which is the confluence of three toll roads from Jatiasih, Tanjung Priok, Jakarta.

According to him, in case of density on that track, traffic engineering will be conducted from Tanjung Priok.

"We prioritize vehicles from Jakarta or Jatiasih to Cikampek," he said.

Traffic engineering will also be applicable to the transfer of traffic flow in Ramp 3 Cikunir through toll gate Kalimalang 2 if the line has reached Kilometer 40 in JORR Jatiasih, KM 2 Halim Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, and KM 3 Pancoran toll roads. 

Then massive traffic congestion usually happened at rest areas KM19, KM33, KM39, KM50, and KM57. Toll road operator will conduct open and close system if the rest areas are full. He urged to the road users who want to across the highway to set up stamina, enough logistic, fill the fuel outside the highway and not rely on rest areas on the toll road.
