The Indonesian traditional performances, were primarily performed by the Kalindo group, which consisted of 26 'angklung' and 'saron' players. The musical group singing was accompanied by a guitar playing and songs of a vocalist.

The Kalindo latest creation titled "Terre de musique, terre de Partage" is a way to introduce the music and culture of Indonesia in New Caledonia in 2016.

The new creations are also intended to celebrate 120 years of the first arrival of Indonesians in New Caledonia.

Kalindo is formed of two syllables "Kal" (which is derived from Caldonie/Caledonia), and "Indo" (which is derived from the word Indonesia).

Kalindo in its performance combined the Indonesian musical genre and the Caledonia distinctive music. To that end, the music group also invited musicians who are already famous in the Caledonia stage.
