REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TANGERANG -- Playing the role of a Polish-German descent girl named Ilona Ianovska in the movie Rudy Habibie, was not easy task for the actress Chelsea Islan. In addition to deepening the understanding of character, Chelsea must learn German at a 'lightning' speed.
Chelsea intensively studied German under the guidance of a German language teacher.
“For about three weeks I learned the language,” said Chelsea Islan in the Grand Premiere of Rudy Habibie in Maxxbox Lippo Village Karawaci on Sunday (26/6) night.
In addition to studying the German language, Chelsea also did some ways to deepen the character Ilona. One way to explore the character Ilona was by reading Rudy: The Story of the Young Future Visionary by of Gina S. Noer. In a book that focuses on the youth Habibie, in which Ilona is also present in the story.
In addition to reading the book, Chelsea is also talking directly with Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie in order to better understand Ilona. In a conversation with Habibie,
Chelsea often asked about the former 3rd president’s time during his youth. "Talking about his childhood as well as Habibie’s grandparents," said Chelsea.
Rudy Habibie films will be aired simultaneously in Indonesia 30 June. Film director Hanung Bramantyo tells a story about Habibie in his youth when he was fighting for his ideals and studying hard as a student at the Rhenisch Wesfalische Technisce Hoscule, Aachen, Germany.
