Governor asks companies to pay religious holiday allowance on time

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MEDAN - North Sumatra Governor Tengku Erry Nuradi asked the companies in this province to pay Religious Holiday Allowance (THR) punctual. Erry said, THR should be given to employees before Eid.

"Later two weeks ahead of Eid, the entrepreneurs can give THR," Erry said, Friday (3/6).

Erry said civil servants (PNS) in the North Sumatera Province will also get THR. He hoped that the policy can be followed by employers in North Sumatra.

"Hopefully this can be followed by other private businessman can pay attention to employees in Eid and sharing of happiness," he said.

Erry also reminded the entrepreneurs of restaurants in North Sumatra to appreciate the Muslims who are fasting. He hoped that entrepreneurs can close his business in the daytime during the fasting.

"If you can, of course, the restaurant should be closed during Ramadan. However, if it were opened, please close the restaurant with curtains, so it were not visible by public," Erry said.
