REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) arrived in Jakarta Friday night after completing his visit to Japan to attend the Outreach meeting of the G7 Summit.
Presidential aircraft RI-1, carrying President Jokowi and First Lady Iriana, landed at the Halim Perdanakusuma airport at 10.25pm Friday, after a seven-hour flight from Chubu Centrair International Airport in Japan.
In a two-day working visit to Japan, the president attended the Outreach meeting of the G-7 Summit in Ise-Shima.
Two majors issues discussed in the meeting were the stability and prosperity of Asia; and sustainable development, women's empowerment, and global health.
President Jokowi became "lead speaker" in the discussions on the stability and prosperity of Asia.
Welcoming the president and the first lady at the Jakarta Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport were Coordinating Minister for Political, Law and Security Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, State Apparatus Minister Yuddy Chrisnandi, TNI Chief General Gatot Nurmantyo, and National Police Chief General Badrodin Haiti, among others.
