BMKG: Eight hotspots detected at Jambi

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAMBI -- The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics agency (BMKG) in Jambi stations revealed there are eight hotspots detected in three districts in Jambi province, with confidence level of up to 86 percent.

Head of Data and Information BMKG, Kurnia Ning said, eight hotspots were observed in the District Muarojambi, Sarolangun, and Merangin based on monitoring sensors of Terra and Aqua satellites, on Wednesday (25/5) at 05.00 am local time.

"In the district of Merangin observed two hotspots, in the village Limbur, District Bangko with confidence level of confidence fires at two hotspots is 86 percent," Kurnia said.

Then in the District Muarojambi detected four hotspots. Two points in Sungai Bungur, District Kumpeh with confidence level of 26 and 35 percent and another two points observed in Sungai Gelam village, with confidence level of 62 percent.

While another two hotspots detected in Sarolangun, precisely in the village of  Pulau Aro with confidence level of 53 percent. Generally, Kurnia continued, weather conditions in Jambi province cloudy and rainy with intensity light to moderate in afternoon in eastern Jambi.

While the wind is generally moving from east to southwest with speed of 06-27 kilometers / hours. While forecasts of ocean wave in the waters in east of Jambi and surrounding areas ranged from 0,2 to 0,8 meters.
