The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has arrested and named corruption suspect chairman of the Bengkulu district court Janner Purba.

"The Supreme Court should be more transparent in fixing its internal problem to prevent recurrence of similar case," KY spokesman Farid Wajdi.

Farid said supervision is not intended to disrupt the existing system but to regain the public confidence in the institution.

"There should be progressive steps internally by the Supreme Court to protect the judicial reputation and dignity," Farid said.

KPK arrested Janner Purba on Tuesday on graft charge with four other suspects, head of the KPK public relations bureau Yuyuk Andriati said.

Two other Bengkulu court officials Toton and Badaruddin Amsori Bachsin alias Billy and the bribers head of the finance division of the Muhammad Junus Hospital Syafri Syafii, and former deputy finance director of the hospital Edi Santroni were named suspects in the same case.

"Syafri and Edi were believed to have bribed Janner Purba to acquit them from charges.
