OIC Summit ready to realize peace in Palestine

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Approximately 57-nation Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is ready to make Israel withdraw from Palestine. Israel must take immediate steps (retreat) from the land of Palestine.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said the OIC countries will respond to any attempts for peace in the region.

"The resolution and the settlement directed by the United Nations Security Council (UN) difficult to do considering Israel continues to occupancy in the west bank, especially Jerusalem," Abbas said in the opening ceremony of the Summit (Summit) Outstanding Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC ) in Jakarta, Monday.

Even so, Abbas expressed his gratitude to the King of Saudi Arabia King Salman for the support and realization against terrorism in Palestine, as well as for implementation of the peace in the Arab world. "I will let Islamic countries in order to implement the concept of this initiative together and not separately," he said.

Abbas unrelenting thanked all delegations OIC Extraordinary Summit participants who have been supporting the Palestinians, especially in dangerous situations such as the present. He hoped the summit could make any effort for the Palestinian people.

"So they can live in freedom according to their rights, together with the other peoples of the world," said Abbas.
