REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Speaker Zulkifli Hasan reiterated his belief lesbian gay bisexual and transgender (LGBT) behavior has no place in Indonesia. According to him, none of race, ethnicity, and religions in Indonesia to allow the practice of same sex relationship.

On the contrary, all religions in Indonesia are against LGBT. However, Zulkifli also cannot justify if there is anarchy which might attack LGBT even if the premise is maintaining the community.

"Because as a person, each person is equal, including LGBT practitioner," Zulkifli said on Wednesday (2/3).

According to him both LGBT followers and the general public have the same rights and obligations, both in law and government.

"As a movement, LGBT presence must be opposed and the movement move should be narrowed. But as a person they must be protected like other citizen," Zulkifli said.
