Suramadu bridge tolls cut off up to 50 percent

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The government lowered Suramadu brige tolls tariff up to 50 percent start today, Tuesday (1/3).

It is stipulated in Minister Public Works and Public Housing decree No 60/KPTS/M/2016. The decree signed by Basuki on (24/2). The implementation of the decision was implemented seven days after the signing.

The decree contains the lowered tariffs for class I to V vehicle. The class VI or two wheel vehicle is not obliged to pay or free. ''We expect economic conditions in the region of Madura more motivated,'' said Basuki.

The toll tariff rate before and after the adjustment, class I vehicle dropped from Rp 30 thousand to Rp 15 thousand. Group II from Rp 45 thousand to Rp 22.500, group III from Rp 60 thousand to Rp 30 thousand and group IV from Rp 75 thousand to Rp 37.500. Group V from Rp 90 thousand to Rp 45 thousand. While, class VI vehicle was originally Rp 3 thousand now for free.
