President leads limited meeting on Zika virus

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko Widodo lead limited meeting to discuss prevention and mitigation the spread of Zika virus in Indonesia.

The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the Zika virus an international public health emergency.

"Detect as soon as possible the spread of the virus," President said on Wednesday (3/2).

Attended the meeting were Minister of Health Nila F Moeloek, Minister of Women Empowerment and Child Protection Yohana Yembise, and Minister of Coordinating Human Development and Culture Puan Maharani.

President added, society has to educated by the government about the prevention and spreading Zika plaque.
