Jakarta police cross-check Mirna case to Australian police

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Jakarta police investigators cross-checked information related to the death of Wayan Mirna Salihin or known as Mirna (27) to Australia Federal Polica (AFP) in order to uncover the truth behind that case.

"There is information that is necessary to ensure its accuracy," the Jakarta Police general crime division head Sr. Comr. Khrisna Murti said on Thursday.

Khrisna also said the information from AFP will be used as one of the evidences. However, the information belongs to investigations material. So, it won't be published to public.

But, it is expected that the AFP will supply information about the relations between Mirna and her friends, who were involved in this case, Jessica Kumala and Hani. The three of them were known as college friends in Australia.

Mirna died after drinking coffee at Olivia Restaurant, Central Jakarta on January 6. Jessica arrived early and ordered a  sazerac cocktail and Vietnamese coffee. Minutes after, Mirna and Hani arrived at the cafe. She later proceed to drink coffee.

Shortly afterwards, she suffered from convulsions and began to foam at the mouth. She was rushed to the hospital, but died on arrival.
