REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PALEMBANG -- The Ampera Bridge, over Musi River in Palembang, South Sumatra Province, is the city's main landmark and will become the culinary hub for the viewers of the total solar eclipse on March 9, 2016.

Several food stalls will be set up along the bridge for a multitude of people who will throng the location to observe the total solar eclipse, Local Culture and Tourism Office spokesperson Irene Camelyn Sinaga remarked here on Wednesday.

Irene revealed that she had coordinated with various agencies, including the food vendors, to welcome the rare and beautiful natural phenomenon.

She noted that all preparations had been made, including the food vendors, to serve thousands of people who will gather to witness the solar eclipse.

"While viewing the total solar eclipse, the visitors can also enjoy a full menu of regional specialties made available along the Ampera Bridge," she stated.
