REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Owner of Metro Mini S640 Pasar Minggu-Tanah Abang route, Chaniago (54 years old) said, Metro Mini was ready to join Transjakarta management with several requirements. One of the requirements was Jakarta Provincial Government promised to pay Metro Mini drivers Rp 6.2 million per month.

"We agree if govt can pay Rp 6.2 million," said Chaniago, to Republika.co.id, Thursday (7/1).

Chaniago explained, Kopaja AC drivers were initially promised a salary of Rp 6.2 million by Jakarta's government. But after it joined Transjakarta management, turned out the drivers were only paid Rp 2.6 million.

He stated, it would be exaggerated if Metro Mini drivers asked for Rp 8 million per month. Government offer for salary of Rp 6.2 million per month was enough.

"I think Rp 6,2 million is more than enough, as long that isn't cut," he added.
