REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Head of Public Information of Police Headquarters, Brigadier Agus Rianto said, there was two threat of terror on New Year's Eve. The first threat was in one shopping center in Tangerang, Teras Kota Mall.
"However, after we checked, it was not proven," said Agus, through short message, Friday (1/1).
Agus added, terror threat also occurred in Bandung. A Molotov bomb exploded not far from house of Bandung Mayor, Ridwan Kamil.
The bomb was under TV One's car, parked in front of Ridwan Kamil's house. Currently, police officers were still conducting investigation related to the explosion.
Other incidents in celebration of New Year's Eve, he continued, also occurred in Makassar and Manado. There were fires due to explosion of firecrackers, but no causalities reported.
"In general, New Year's Eve celebrations in Indonesia was safe and conducive," said Agus.
