REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesia got a chance to host 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang. Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI) called, the measure of success of this four annual event was good organization of the committee.

KOI chairman Erick Thohir said, there was a big dream that could be achieved at 2018 Asian Games, for the sake of national changes. Mental revolution which was always campaigned by President Joko Widodo, was able to be realized.

"Let's take an example from China. China who was organizing 2008 Olympic Games and 2010 Asian Games, was successfully changing behavior of its citizens," Erick said, in an interview with Republika.co.id, in Jakarta.

Erick explained, china citizens were no longer used nightgown outside their houses. It was because, they wanted to give good impression of their country in front of guest country.

In term of hygiene, Chinese people make their environment more clean after Olympic Games and Asian Games. It clearly changed mental and behavior of Chinese society.

"This is simple-but-great idea that we can achieve together through Asian Games," he added.
