REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Bank OCBC NISP again received the title of "Indonesia Most Trusted Company" for the fourth time. The highest award was given to Bank OCBC NISP for successfully implementing Good Corporate Governance (GCG) well, based on Corporate Governance Perception Index (CGPI).
The award was received by President Director of Bank OCBC NISP Parwati Surjaudaja, Thursday (17/12) at the Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta. CGPI award is a prestigious award in the field of corporate governance for public companies, enterprises, public enterprises and non-public companies.
The awards which were held by Indonesian Institute for Corporate Governance (IICG) was in cooperation with SWA magazine with theme of "Corporate Governance in Perspective of Value Creation". Through this theme, the GCG implementation is expected not merely to fulfill compliance, but also create sustainable value.
IICG used 12 aspects in conducting the assessment process, namely transparency, accountability, responsibility, independence and fairness, supported by aspects of commitment, teamwork, leadership, competence, moral values, ethics and vision and mission. Assessment was done strictly through four stages, namely self-assessment with respondents from internal and external bank, delivery and completeness of documents, preparation of papers, and observation of jury team to examine the papers which accompanied with verification process of data and information that has been sent previously.
President Director of Bank OCBC NISP Surjaudaja Parvati said that she was very proud of the re-enactment of Bank OCBC NISP as Indonesia Most Trusted Company in CGPI award. She was considered this achievement as new challenge.
"We have to continue to implement corporate governance even better in the future," she said
IICG as organizers of CGPI award is a nonprofit organization committed to promote good corporate governance practices in Indonesia and to support and assist companies in applying the concept of Corporate Governance.
