18 died in train and Metromini bus crash

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- A crash of a Commuter Line train occurred in Muara Angke, West Jakarta. The accident involved a Metromini bus Kalideres-Grogol route. 18 passengers of Metromini bus died in the accident. The last victim died in Sumber Waras Hospital.

"The total of death toll rise to 18, one victim just died in Sumber Waras hospital," said Head of Medical and Health of City Police, Commissioner Pol Musyafak, in Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM), Sunday (6/12).

Metromini bus driver, Asmadi, and bus conductor, Agus Muhammad Irpan, also died in the crash. Of 18 victims, 15 bodies were in  RSCM, while three other bodies were still in Atma Jaya Hospital.

Later, Musyafak added, the entire bodies of victims would be taken to RSCM for identification and administration. While, six injured victims were still being treated in hospitals, namely two people at Sumber Waras Hospital, three people at Atma Jaya Hospital, and one person in Tarakan Hospital.

Currently a joint team of Medical and Health of City Police and Forensic Team of RSCM were still trying to match postmortem data and antemortem data to identify the body.

"Now there are six families that match the victim's data. If it has been identified, we will release the names of the dead," said Musyafak.

Meanwhile, Corporate Communications Manager of PT KCL, Eva Chairunnisa said all train passengers survived. According to Eva, Metromini bus was dragged to the platform and it was resulting the water brake hose ruptured.
