REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG -- Mayor of Bandung, Ridwan Kamil, had just returned from Barcelona, Spain, after attending Smart City Award. During his visit to Barcelona, Emil invited two world famous football clubs, FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, to Bandung.
He conveyed his desire to invite the world football clubs to work together in increasing ability of playing football of Bandung citizens. The two clubs also have a football-based social programs to other countries.
"Both (Barcelona and Madrid) are invited to Bandung, because these clubs has football-based social programs," said Emil, at City Hall of Bandung, West Java, Monday (23/11).
He explained that the two clubs will present to hold a workshop on world-class football. This program is dedicated to poor children in Bandung and the goal is to increase the sense of personal confidence in children.
Emil stated, this event has been consulted with the Indonesian Embassy to Spain. He was expected that in the next year, there has been decision of this invitation.
"Hopefully in early of next, the two teams will come," he added.
