'The Thrill is Back' in 38th Jazz Goes to Campus

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, DEPOK -- One of the oldest jazz festival in Indonesia, Jazz Goes to Campus, would be held again for 38th time. The event created by students of Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia (FEB UI), would be held on 29th November 2015.

"The theme this year is "The Thrill is Back," which is intended to create emotional experience," said the organizers of 38th Jazz Goes to Campus, in a press statement received by Republika.co.id, Tuesday (10/11) ,

Jazz Goes to Campus has several series of events before the main festival. One of them is JGTC Competition, which would be fronted by renowned judges such as Riza Arshad, Gilang Ramadhan, and Robert Mulia Raharja.

The JGTC Competition consisted of two rounds. First is Qualification Round at 7th November 2015 and second is Final Round at 21st November 2015, in Lippo Mall Kemang Village, Jakarta.

"Jazz Goes to Campus also distribute JGTC Scholarship for students of FEB UI. Fundraising for the scholarships is done by holding JGTC Gathering & Charity Night as appreciation for the donors and former JGTC committees," stated the organizers.

In the main festival, JGTC festival would also be presenting musicians from Australia and France, namely Lenka and Eric Legnini Trio. There would also JGTC Choice Awards, awards and highest appreciation for Jazz musician from several categories.
