REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing, Basuki Hadimuljono, said the construction of Trans-Sumatra project of Pekanbaru-Kandis-Dumai toll roads along 135 kilometer would enter the installation of the first pile at the end of November 2015.
"Of 135 km, 20 km of land are already free or up to 15 percent. So that we have been able to begin construction," said Basuki, after doing Monitoring Meeting of Trans Sumatra Highway Development, at Ministry of SOEs' building, Monday (9/11).
According to Basuki, the land acquisition was done gradually in accordance with the conditions in the field. Meanwhile, in Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar toll road along 140 kilometers, the land acquisition has already reached 40 kilometers.
"Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar's land acquisition is targeted to be completed in June 2016. If it is completed in full, then the construction is certainly finished on target in 2018," Basuki explained.
Basuki stated the regular meetings of reporting progress of Trans Sumatra toll roads' construction already involved Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) and the Attorney General.
"The involvement of BPKP, Attorney General, and National Land Agency (BPN) is in accordance with their respective duties from land acquisition, monitoring the allocation of funding, up to a legal settlement if there are problems about the land," he said.
Related to allocation of land acquisition, Directorate General of Urban Highways and Regional Roads Facilitation, Ministry of Public Works, Subagyo, said it had a great progress.
"The absorption of the land acquisition budget has reached Rp 3 trillion, of total allocated fund of Rp 5.5 trillion," said Subgayo.
