Government prepares Indonesian tourism branding competition

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Deputy Foreign Tourism Marketing Development of Ministry of Tourism would hold Indonesian Branding Competition. The deputy had formed Forum Group Discussion (FGD) to discuss the preparations.

FGD was expected to be agreed upon technical problems of delivery and collection of material. FGD was also expected to decide whether it is necessary to give special theme for all works to be sent, in order to bring Indonesian Tourism as "Wonderful Indonesia, the Truly Heaven."

Previously, the government continued to improve quality and quantity of Indonesia tourism promotion. One of them was, participated in Asean Tourism Forum (ATF) Awards 2016 or also called ASEANTA Awards For Excellence 2016.

The event was organized by ASEAN Tourism Organization or ASEAN Travel Association (ASEANTA) for the 29th time. This event would again give awards to individuals or organizations which were considered to have contributed to the development, growth and promotion of culture and tourism in the ASEAN.

Although Indonesia had followed this event for a long time, Indonesia only won a few categories than Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. This was because there was lack of input to be proposed or nominated by Indonesia to the committee of ASEANTA Awards.

In the ASENTA Awards For Excellence 2016, there are 6 categories in competition:

1.    Best ASEANTA Tourism photo

2.    Best ASEANTA Trave  Article,

3.    Best ASEANTA Marketing & Promotional Campaign.

4.    Best ASEANTA New Tourism Attraction,

5.    Best ASEANTA  Airline Programme For ASEAN

6.    Best ASEANTA Cultural Preservation Efforts
