REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BOGOR -- A business application for Muslim entrepreneurs was launched by Cibest IPB and Ummah Market (Ummar). The Soft launch of Ummah Market (Ummar) applications was held at Botani Square Bogor, Sunday (1/11).
The launch of the application was done by Irfan Syauqi Beik from Cibest IPB with two founders of Ummar, namely Putra Fajar and Lio Hudyawan. It was also attended by Mayor of Bogor, Bima Arya.
Putra said that the idea of a Muslim businessman network applications was derived from the increasing number of entrepreneurs who ran Islamic business. In addition, he had experiences since 2012 in meeting the challenges of business move.
He also revealed the results of study of Center for Middle Class Consumer Studies (CMCS), which stated that Indonesian population who had increased incomes, were more religious. From this study, then it emerged an idea to build a system to connect various industry.
"The concept, he said, was named Muslims Helping Muslim Business. This system became sharia trading network platform called Ummah Market (Ummar)," said Putra, in its official statement to Republika.co.id, Monday (2/11).
According to him, the Ummar application was a gateway to offline activities from trade fair, bazaar daily routine, business training, sharing sessions of Muslim businessmen, and others.
"Ummar was the first android-based locator business applications in the world," he added.
