REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Minister of Youth and Sports, Imam Nahrawi, planned to hold a national-level football tournament in a few months, after seeing public interest in Presidents Cup 2015 tournament which was successfully held.
"This tournament will be a reference for us to hold another tournament," said Imam, after final match of Presidents Cup 2015 at Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Jakarta, Monday (19/10).
Imam had not yet confirmed the name and the time of the planned tournament, because it was still in preparation process.
"We have said that in November there will be a new tournament, also in January," he added.
Imam revealed that the football tournament must be at national level and followed by 16 clubs. It might be participated by ISL and Premier Division clubs.
Related to President's Cup 2012, Imam stated that the event was able to show outstanding sportsmanship play, including how the readiness of the promoter to prepare for the event.
