Two hotspots detected in Bangka Belitung

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, KOBA -- Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) of Pangkalpinang stated that the Terra and Aqua satellite detected two hotspots in Bangka Belitung.

"Based on observation of Terra and Aqua satellites, the two hotspots are located in South Bangka and Central Bangka," said Coordinating Unit staff of BMKG Analysis of Pangkalpinang, Evi Diana Prihatiningsih, in Pangkalpinang on Friday (16/10).

He explained, a hotspot in South Bangka was detected in Air Gegas District, while another hotspot in Central Bangka was detected in Koba District.

According to him, the current rainfall in Bangka Belitung was relatively low with 95 percent of humidity. So  that there were drought in some areas.

"Related to the current dry weather conditions, he said, BMKG urged people not to start a fire. Moreover, the dry weather is accompanied by wind," he added.

Meanwhile, satellite observations of weather on Saturday (17/10) stated, Bangka Belitung was still the potential to rain, although the sky was sunny and cloudy.
