Death toll of Indonesian pilgrims in Mina incident reach 123 people

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MECCA -- The number of Indonesian citizens who were victims in hajj stampede in Road 204, Mina, increased to 123 people. Identification team of Hajj Committee (PPIH) of Saudi Arabia managed to verify three new bodies as pilgrims from Indonesia.

Head of Work Area of Mecca, Arsyad Hidayat, said the number of citizens who became victims of Mina on previous data were 120 people, consisting of 115 pilgrims and five citizens who lived in Saudi Arabia.

"There are additional victims by three people, becoming 123 people," he said, Friday (9/10).

Arsyad said the three pilgrims came from two fleets. One pilgrim from fleet BTH 14 and two pilgrims from fleet JKS 61.

The name of the victims were Kaslan Marhaji Taher from Pontianak fleet BTH 14 with passport number A7522077, Imas Masyitoh Suhandi from West Java fleet JKS 61 with passport number B0745289 and Yoyo Sutaryo Suharmi with passport number B0745302.

"So that the pilgrims who has not returned reduced to five people," he added.
