REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MECCA -- The number of Indonesian pilgrims in Mecca continues to decrease. Every day, thousands of pilgrims left Mecca after pilgrimage at Arafat, Muzdalifah, and Mina, last month. A total of 12,658 Indonesian pilgrims would leave Mecca on Thursday (8/10).
Head of Arrival and Repatriation Services of Work Area of Mecca, Hajj Committee, Muhammad Ismail Aini, said the 12 thousand pilgrims was from 29 fleets. They would depart from Mecca to two destinations, Jeddah and Medina.
Ismail stated 15 fleets would depart from Mecca to Jeddah and then sent back to Indonesia. A total of 14 other fleets would depart from Mecca to Medina.
"Pilgrims which will be back to Medina will undergo Arbain worship," he added.
A total of 6,793 Indonesian pilgrims from 15 fleets would set off from Mecca to Medina in Thursday at 01:50 until 21.15 local time.
