Embassy holds business and investment forum in Wellington

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Indonesian embassy in Wellington has held business forum with a theme "Doing Business with Indonesia: Trade and Investment Opportunities" in Auckland, New Zealand.

The forum organized for investment and export promotion was attended by 40 New Zealand business leaders.

Director of Indonesian Investment Promotion Center Sri Moertiningroem, and Director of Indonesian Trade Promotion Center Ruth J. Samaria addressed the forum as key speakers.

Four New Zealand investors spoke about their successful venture in Indonesia.

Indonesian Ambassador to New Zealand Jose Tavares said trade relation between Indonesia and New Zealand had grown 3.25 percent s year.

In the first half of the year New Zealand's investment in Indonesia was valued at US$14 million in various sectors -- food industry, trade, transport equipment , hotel and restaurant, Sri Moertiningroem said.

Sri offered investment opportunities in a number of sectors such as infrastructure and agriculture.

Meanwhile, Ruth Samaria spokes about significant increase in bilateral trade, and sought to promote Trade Expo Indonesia 2015 to be held in October 21-25.
