REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JEDDAH -- The number of Indonesian pilgrims who dead in Mina incident increased by 31 people. The new victims were from identification result conducted by a team of Indonesian Hajj Committee (PPHI) of Saudi Arabia on Friday (2/10) at 05.00 local time.
Head of Work Area of Mecca, Arsyad Hidayat, said there were significant number of victims after the Indonesia PPHI team obtained greater access to identify the victims. Besides 31 pilgrims, said Arsyad, the team also identified an Indonesian worker who also died.
"The victim who has been identified worked in the company of Bin Laden Group," said Arsyad, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Friday (2/10).
Thus, there were 91 people in total who became victims in Mina incident, occurred on Thursday (24/9). It included 86 Indonesian pilgrims and 5 citizens who lived in Saudi Arabia.
