10 bodies of Indonesian victims of boat sinks in Malaysia identified

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA –- A total of 10 Indonesian victims of boat sinks in Sabak Bernam, Malaysia, have been identified in IPOH Hospital and in the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur.

"Now there are 10 bodies that have been identified either by the family and by documents attached to the body," said Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Saturday (5/9).

There were two families came to the Embassy. One of the member of the family has been identified, with the name Ismadani.

The Embassy has also received information that the rescue team was found five more bodies of victims. Thus, the total bodies found were 29. The survivors remained 20 people.

Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur formed a post in IPOH Hospital to help families identify the victims and facilitate the funeral in Indonesia. Meanwhile, various reports has been received by the Embassy, that there were 62 people reported missing.

Furthermore, the rescue team still continue to search for the victims. They are using three APMM ships, 3 APMM boat, 2 Malaysian Navy ships and two helicopters.
