REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - 19 candidates for the leadership of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) underwent live interview as the fourth stage of selection. The interview was held in the Multipurpose Room, the Ministry of State Secretariat, Jakarta.

Chairman of the Selection Committee, Destry Damayanti, said each candidate will be given an hour to answer questions of the panel. Destry said that the panel consist of practitioners and academics.

"Each candidate has an hour opportunity to take the interview," said Destry, Central Jakarta, Monday (24/8).

There were two main interviewers in the selection team that asked each candidate. They are a legal expert and a selection expert of the selection committee.

"Other members of Pansel are also invited to ask all matters relating to the competence and track record of all the candidates,” Destry added.

The interview process will be held alternately for three days and take place on Monday to Wednesday, 24th to 26 th August 2015. This interview will select eight names from 19 names. Furthermore, the selection committee will submit eight names to the President Joko Widodo on 31st August 2015.

The President then handed over eight names to the member of House of Representatives. Then they through the legal commission will hold the candidates’ fit and proper tests, and assess who are worthy to be leaders of KPK.
