REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Public interest to a type of fuel that has RON 90, Pertalite, was relatively high. Currently, PT Pertamina (Persero) recorded  the sales of Pertalite reached an average of about 3.28 kiloliters per gas station per day or 938 liters per day. This amount almost reached 1000 kiloliters per day.

PT Pertamina continue to increase the number of gas station which can serve Pertalite.

Vice President Corporate Communications of Pertamina, Wianda Pusponegoro, said that it was not even two months of the Pertalite sales. Now there are 286 units of gas stations that can serve Pertalite.

The location of the gas stations are spread in three places. Marketing Operation Region III West Java has 139 gas stations, Marketing Operation IV Central Java has 27 gas stations, and Marketing Operation Region V East Java has 120 gas stations.

"We will continue to expand the marketing of Pertalite because the demand is high enough. We target to reach 400 unit of gas stations," Wianda explained, Thursday (20/8).

She said, during the test, Pertalite consumption market continues to show a positive trend. The sales of Pertalite was conclusively and consistently increased by 13 percent and the sales of Premium was decreased to 68 percent from 79 percent.

"With the extension of number of gas station, we expected that consumers can easily access the Pertalite, especially for consumers who want a fuel with a higher RON than the Premium, but with an affordable price," said Wianda.
