REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (Kemenpupera) formally signed two packages contract of construction. Both contract are the contract for Solo-Kertosono toll road construction phase I and Balang Island II bridge construction. For Solo-Kertosono toll road, the fund is 45 percent from Indonesian government and 55 percent from China.
"From Indonesia, we have the state budget and 30 percent from Wijaya Karya," said Minister of Public Works and Public Housing, Basuki Hadimuljono, Friday (21/8).
Total cost of the two packages of road and bridge is the Rp 4.48 trillion. Kertosono Solo toll road is part of the Trans Java toll road which aims to improve the accessibility and capacity of the road in Trans Java corridor. Solo-Kertosono toll road construction phase I will be carried along 37.39 km.
Besides the toll road, infrastructure development is also done with the Balang Island II bridge construction along 1,274 meters. The bridge is useful for connecting Balikpapan and North Penajam Paser.
“The construction of Balang Island II bridge along 804 meters will be funded from the state budget,” he said.
The bridge is planned to have three cable stayed structure. By doing so, Balang Island II will be integrated with Riko, Lango beach, Balang Island, Tempadang, and Kariangau for 35,5 km.
