REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, DEPOK –- University of Indonesia (UI) has become the only university in Indonesia which entered the best university ranks in the world. UI was ranked 310th by the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Ranking 2014/2015 to more than 800 universities in the world.

Previously, UI was ranked 79th in the top 100 universities in Asia and became the best universities in Indonesia. This achievement did not only belong to UI, but also belonged to Indonesia because it helped improving the quality of Indonesia Education.

“This achievement is expected to encourage the improvement of research quality in international level,” said Head of Communication Office UI Rifelly Dewi Astuti, Monday (17/8).

Furthermore, in the QS World University Ranking by subject 2014/2015, the Medicine Course of UI was also awarded as the best Medicine Course in Indonesia and the 301st best in the world.

“There was increase in journal publications up to 200 percent and also improvement of human resources at university and faculty level,” she added.
