Search efforts started to find missing aircraft in Papua

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAYAPURA -- Efforts to search Trigana plane carrying 49 passengers that lost contact while flying from Jayapura to Oksibil, Papua, on Sunday, have begun.

The chief of the Sentani air base, Col. I Made Susila Adyana, said to Antara his airbase in cooperation with the search and rescue team had mapped the location where the ATR-type plane might have been.

The plane with Captain Hasanudin as its pilot and Aryadi as co-pilot was scheduled to arrive in Oksibil at 15.15 hours East Indonesia Time but until the time came it had not landed yet.

The aircraft flew from Jayapura at 14.22 hours East Indonesia Time and it would take around 55 minutes to arrive in Oksibil.

Other people on board included mechanic Mario, cabin crew members Ika and Dita and other passengers.
