REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA –- The Head of the Criminal Investigation Police, Commissioner General Budi Waseso, said that the increase of beef prices has become a terror for public and also for the government. It can cause unrest.

"I want the construction of Criminal Law and Terrorism Law," said Budi, in the Criminal Investigation Police, Jakarta, Friday (14/8).

There were groups of hoarders that have specific purposes in the case of high price of beef. So that he said that the construction of Criminal Law and Terrorism Law is needed, because the hoarders were the same as terrorist.

He also stated that the increase of the beef price was because of beef mafia. He has ordered all Criminal Investigation Polices to investigate the existence of the mafia.

"This case has been examined. We hope that this wasn’t going to happen again," he added.

He continued, the case of beef mafia will soon be revealed. The police has found evidences, such as four thousand of cattle that were ready for slaughter.
