REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Jakarta police investigated two officials of the trade ministry over alleged dwelling time graft at Tanjung Priok port.
The Jakarta police already named five suspects including Foreign Trade Director General Partogi Pangaribuan and a senior official of the directorate general Imam Aryanta on graft charge.
Police confiscated US$40,000 believed to be graft money from the office of Partogi.
"Today K and S were questioned as witnesses," Jakarta police spokesman senior police commissioner Mohammad Iqbal said here on Tuesday.
Iqbal said the witnesses had been questioned over alleged graft in the import of salt via the container terminal of Tanjung Priok.
On Monday police already investigated two staff officers of the industry ministry identified as W and P, and raided the office of the ministry.
Iqbal said the Jakarta police task force is expanding investigation to other regions outside Jakarta.
